Imaginative Play

Halloween is all about SUGAR! But does it have to be that way? Kids care about FUN above all things, so let’s try to focus on the fun while keeping our kids healthy!
We’ve collected some of the cutest, spookiest, silliest halloween snacks we could find that will make your kids super excited because they’re fun, not super wound up because of too much sugar running through their systems!
Green grapes & marshmallow eyes OK, The marshmallows aren’t technically healthy, but we think that the grapes make up for it…a little bit at least. (draw the face on the outside of the cup)
Fruit can be just as sweet as any candy yet still gives your little ones nutrients! grape “spider eggs”, Apples on a stick-ditch the messy caramel & draw a frankenstein face on the wrapper! Wrap an orange up like a mummy or draw jack o’lantern faces on orange fruit cups!
“Candy corn” oranges, pineapples and a whip cream top, yummy!
Or try it on a stick!
Broomsticks Made out of cheese and pretzels!
Mini Pumpkins! My personal favorite, cuties with a bit of celery in the middle.
Ghost pops! Although this is made with white chocolate, try dipping in yogurt and freezing!
Monster Apples! slice an apple and spread your favorite nut butter in the middle with sunflowers as teeth and a strawberry tongue!
Fun with veggies!
Ghost sticks Super easy, just draw a few eyes and a mouth on the back of string cheese and wa-la!P&B Spiders press bread with a glass cup or cookie cutter and use pretzels for the legs!
There are so many fun ideas to make this Halloween a magical memory for your children, so try to minimize the sugary treats and teach them that fun can be healthy with a little imagination !
Have a safe, fun and creative Halloween!
